The Madhubala Edit is a curation of 5 beautiful pieces inspired by the legendary beauty - featured in Life Magazine, the star of epics like Mughal-e-Azam and Mahal. Apart from her proficiency in what she did - Madhubala has been a muse for artists across genres for decades now.
We've curated beauties - Jhumkas, Necklaces, Chokers, Haathphool & more from Jaipur, Delhi, Ahmedabad. All our products are designed by the artisan families based in traditional markets - the sort of rare beauties one only craves for.
Kanauti Jhumke are a constant reminder of the 50s for us. Both our Dadis wore these on "special occasions" only. Weddings, poojas, ceremonies meant taking out their precious gold kanautis (chain earrings) that would normally be kept safety hidden away in pouches in their Godrej almirahs. Great pains would be taken while wearing these and aligning them juuust right. The ultimate compliment would be - "Bilkul Madhubala lag rahi hai"
All of Madhubala's looks from the epic Mughal-e-Azam include this Mughal-era gem of a design. The traditional designs are made of kundan with pearl strings sliding over your ears. Our curation - made in Jaipur, uses german silver solely to create a beautiful flower motif on the earring and a delicate chain, cross links for you to slide over your ears.
